who are we?
The work of The International Alliance for Sustainable Development Goals (AI-ODD) is to take social and environmental issues into account.
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represent a universal action plan adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, aimed at eradicating poverty, fighting inequality and injustice, and tackling environmental problems such as climate change.
Each goal includes specific targets to be achieved by 2030. This goals are aimed towards the encouragement for a coordinated and comprehensive action in all regions of the world, including in Europe. Therefore, they encourage countries to work in a spirit of global partnership to improve the lives of all, leaving no one behind.
The International Sustainable Development Goals Alliance is a network of volunteers in 25 countries, working to address these goals by informing and educating politicians and citizens. We engage with leaders and provide tools for sustainability.

WHO ARE WE?
Born from a Senate seminar organized by AI-ODD, this platform was created to centralize resources and support local governments in their transition to sustainability. The Collective comprises stakeholders from local authorities, elected official networks, and organizations committed to advancing the SDGs locally.
AI-ODD news
1. Tribute to Jean Ziegler
There are voices that seem immortal. Jean Ziegler's was one of them.
And yet, Jean Ziegler has left us at the age of 92. With him fades one of the freest and most courageous consciences in the world.
The kind of man one believed to be indestructible, because his convictions were.
A sociologist, writer, and Special Rapporteur of the United Nations on the right to food, he spent more than sixty years saying what many refused to hear.
"Every five seconds, a child under ten dies of hunger. The realities are there. And those responsible are identifiable."
He had met Pascale Fressoz, president of AI-ODD, at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, on numerous occasions, and also during conferences organized by Maurice Simon in Gaillard on consciousness facing challenges...
His struggle will not die! We will keep it alive through our values and our projects.
2.Freeing the Voice of Young Girls in Gabon
🇬🇦 In Gabon, young girls dared to speak. AI-ODD was there to listen.
On March 28, in Libreville, something rare happened. Dozens of young girls aged 11 to 25 gathered at the Museum of Arts, Rites and Traditions, in a space where they finally had the right to speak, listen and be seen.
Led by Lidwine NGOUNDJI , President of AIODD-Gabon, founder of the NGO Femmes Vertueuses, and President of PLAMFE-Gabon, this educational talk was placed under the theme: "Growing up in confidence: cultural identity, health and dignity of the young girl" .
That day, young leaders spoke up for their sisters, their friends, those whose voices are never heard. They spoke about self-confidence, menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and empowerment. Words that many were perhaps saying for the first time. Truths that set free. And at the end of the day, each young girl left with sanitary pads.
A simple gesture. But for some, this gesture changes everything. That is AI-ODD's commitment in Gabon. Open arms reaching toward those the world too often forgets. This action directly aligns with the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Health), SDG 4 (Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality), because the world's future depends on that of its young girls.
3. SolidarITY WITH ukraine
Solidarity with teachers, students and populations in Ukraine.
"Here, and in places where bombs and drones fall on civilians, life has a different value. In the evening we go to bed without knowing if we will wake up..."
These are the words of Stéphane, a member of our AI-ODD network, based in Ukraine. He wrote them last night from Zaporizhia, during a Russian attack. This is his 6th three-month stay since the beginning of the war. A commitment to the inhabitants.
Moved by the war in Ukraine and the risks it poses to Europe, he chose in 2023 to teach French to Ukrainians. He reached Zaporizhia by motorcycle, starting from the UN headquarters in Geneva, asking himself this question: "Who truly protects civilians during an armed conflict?"
Not just the blue helmets or diplomats. They are also the teachers who go underground with their classes to continue teaching. The students who study with their notebooks despite the alerts.
There, Stéphane helps residents with their daily activities, plays chess with adolescents who grew up under bombs and shares moments with young children who have never known peace. For several weeks, he has shared his daily life with us: alerts, power cuts, schools relocated underground, exhausted but steadfast teachers.
Our project: to create with him twinning partnerships between Francophone classes (primary, middle, high school) and Ukrainian schools that continue to teach despite the war.
These exchanges can take several forms: letters, cards, support videos, educational projects and exchanges around the Francophone community, cultures and traditions.
!! We are launching an appeal. We are looking for volunteer schools in France, Africa, Canada, Switzerland… anywhere where French can become a "bridge".
A big thank you to Lycée polyvalent Fernand RENAUDEAU de Cholet, Pays de la Loire, which responded to our call and organized a video meeting with Stéphane and a class of high school students.
4. A FILM PROJECT FOR PEACE
The film project by Anne Dorr was born from the continuation of a powerful moment experienced on April 2nd at the UN.
250 young people gathered at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, on the occasion of the Journée internationale de la conscience (International Day of Consciousness), organized by the NGO AIODD and the association Love Force.
Middle school students, high school students, university students, young entrepreneurs: in a world shaken by wars, they spoke up to say what many have ended up forgetting. That peace does not fall from the sky.

How much longer will we underestimate the voice of this generation? What if the real answer to conflicts came precisely from them?It is built day after day, in the choices we make and the way we look at one another.
This teaser marks the beginning of a project we are carrying forward with great care, in connection with SDG 16 on peace, justice and effective institutions.
We will follow 7 of these young people over time, their doubts, their convictions, and their own unique way of trying to change things.s.
Thank you to Chloé Moullec, Nathan Lemoine, Annabel PARIS et Mariajosé Martin Bravo, Mathieu Chappaz, Maxime SALPIETRO, Maria-Térésa for their commitment to this adventure. You can watch the teaser here: https://lnkd.in/eFiKPExw

Our Guide to Action: "Acting for a Sustainable World"
The book "Acting for a Sustainable World. Achieving the Transition with the Help of the 17 SDGs" presents all the challenges we must face while demonstrating the importance of the 17 SDGs for bringing about transformations. It is both a call to action and a guide to sustainability.
All stakeholders, communities and businesses are encouraged to take action by developing their own roadmap based on the "2030 Agenda". To support this change, the "Nine Steps to Success" methodology (H. Rohm BSC Institute) is presented by Pascale FRESSOZ, President of AI-ODD, and the two co-authors, Corentin BITEAU and Jean-Claude KOYA. Acting as Citizens while restoring meaning is also at the heart of this work, which aims to inspire action through motivation and creativity rather than solely through fear and constraints.
Thank you to Jouvence Publishing and all the experts who contributed to this work, particularly Dominique BOURG, Patrick VIVERET, Maria-Luisa SILVA, Ambassador François RIVASSEAU, Pierre-Alain RAPHAN and approximately fifty committed actors working for the SDGs.
Your feedback will be invaluable to us. Please don't hesitate to share your comments and suggestions to expand the realm of possibilities. Thank you.

Our Articles and Resources for Action
How can we, at our own level, take action for a sustainable world? - Corentin Biteau

Launch of the new ODD Mapping by AI-ODD and Editions Jouvence.

Today we are all aware of the problems in the world: droughts, poverty, hunger, climate...
But while we all agree on the observation, we often have fewer answers to the following question: why is it difficult to act on these issues? How can we get started? And what actions should we take?
This series of articles written by Corentin BITEAU, Vice-President of AI-ODD France and co-author of Acting for a Sustainable World, provides some answers.
In order to provide an overview of the specificities of the SDGs, a mapping will facilitate the understanding of the SDGs. It will also make it possible to imagine the interactions and impacts that one objective can have on the other objectives.
This mapping also aims to encourage stakeholders to think together about the actions already undertaken... and the future actions to be undertaken. The SDG Mapping (copyright) is part of the book "Acting for a sustainable world. Succeeding in the transition using the 17 Sustainable Development Goals", by Pascale Fressoz, published by Jouvence, co-written with Corentin Biteau and Jean-Claude Koya. This work is the result of a fruitful collaboration between a Publisher and an NGO.
Your SDG Mapping can be given to you during our conferences, on the theme of “Drawing the Future”, or can be sent to you by post.

The Nine Steps to Success Methodology for Building Sustainable Cities and Enterprises
The "Nine Steps to Success" Method was first presented during our webinar on September 25, 2021, on the theme "Leadership & SDGs, Communities and Businesses." Inspired by the BSC Institute (Nine Steps to Success 2018–2022) and developed by Howard Rohm, the methodology was adapted by Pascale Fressoz to integrate expertise in strategic planning and sustainability. The Sustainable BSC for Cities and Businesses is presented in our "Our Tools to Support You" section.

Brochure "Taking Action at the Citizen Level"
You will also find a presentation “Acting at the Citizen Level” with examples of actions having a strong impact, in connection with the SDGs.
SDG mapping, AI-SDG and Jouvence Publishing
Our SDG maps are designed for both local authorities and businesses, with two different versions available. They allow for an assessment of the current situation for each SDG and the identification of new actions. Some initiatives can have a positive impact on multiple SDGs.
CDDG tools
The tools of the CDGG, Committee 21, 4 D, labels, etc. and more generally the tools of all the actors involved in the SDGs, are very valuable. You will find them, in part, in the section "Tools and Methods of other actors", knowing that this work was carried out within the "Collectif Élus & SDGs" that we piloted from 2020 to 2022.
Join us
The International Alliance for Sustainable Development Goals (IAODD) continues its commitment to the United Nations (UNDP) program, with branches based in 21 countries. It brings together highly committed and, above all, highly operational volunteers to act both on the ground for the well-being of the most vulnerable populations, and through awareness-raising activities to strengthen the capacity of leaders and residents (public sector, private sector, civil society) to integrate the SDGs into their actions.
