Excerpt from the report: " In 2015, the International Alliance for Sustainable Development Goals (IAODD) Tunisia launched a two-year project entitled 'Academic Innovation for Regional Development Integrating a Gender Approach,' in collaboration with Microsoft. This project benefited graduates from Higher Institutes of Technological Studies (ISETs) in seven disadvantaged regions of Tunisia, where graduate unemployment rates are among the highest. Promoting the participation of girls, this project fostered an innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem in these target regions by developing synergy among various local stakeholders.29 It resulted in the creation of 23 innovative startups specific to these regions, founded by young graduates of these ISETs who had previously received supplementary training and acquired soft skills. All participating stakeholders were previously made aware of gender issues and equitable and inclusive development, which is particularly important in these regions."
