After 10 years of commitment to the Millennium Development Goals, AIODM changed its name in 2016 to adapt to the new post-2015 UN agenda and became AI-ODD, the International Alliance for Sustainable Development Goals.

AI-ODD is committed to the United Nations program (UNDP) and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with offices based in 20 countries: France, India, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Mali, Niger, Benin, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo Brazzaville, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Togo, Madagascar, Morocco, Tunisia, Guinea Conakry, Gabon, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Tanzania and many others. Numerous actions have been carried out in Switzerland where its headquarters was based for 15 years. It is now located in Annemasse, at the International Solidarity City (CSI), on the Franco-Genevan border.

A strengthened presence in approximately twenty countries, with national offices, but also relationships with a large number of countries and a network of volunteers committed to taking action both on the ground and with institutions. Our goal is to play a "facilitator" role to encourage action to anticipate and contribute further to the well-being of populations, particularly those most vulnerable, and to strengthen the capacity to act of both leaders and residents in taking SDGs into account in their actions.

It is important to note that the approach of the 17 SDGs is transversal, global and holistic. It takes into account the interdependence between objectives, since a project can contribute to achieving multiple goals or conversely, move away from achieving certain goals by having a destructive effect. Furthermore, the SDGs are universal and concern both countries of the Global South and the Global North.

Among the board members of AIODD in Geneva are Hager Chérif, former Minister in Tunisia, Mohamed Bin Ali Bin Said Albadi, Deputy in Oman and Hospital Director, Steve Hoda, entrepreneur in agroecology and many other leaders from the public, private and civil society sectors as well as citizens.

Let us continue to work together in a positive and constructive manner for the 2030 Agenda, with the invaluable support of the many NGOs working on the ground and often doing remarkable work. Thank you all for your commitment.

Pascale Fressoz
Founder and President of AI-ODD
Co-founder of the Coalition of NGOs for the MDGs, then for the SDGs, in Geneva
Ambassador of Peace for CPPS in Benin (2015 to 2019)

2006, conference organized at the Palais Nations in Mossou, Ivory Coast

AIODM, whose launch was announced in 2006 at a conference held at the Palais des Nations as part of an Aid Federation conference, has supported the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) since 2015, following seven years of commitment to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) initiated by Kofi Annan. At that time, we received encouragement from Mr. Perez de Celluar, former Secretary-General of the UN, and several other recognized international leaders. One of AIODM's (our name before the SDGs) major achievements was the creation of AIODM Millennium Villages.

In January 2013, the Minister of Health in Côte d'Ivoire, Raymonde Goudou Koffi, presented the Legion of Honour on behalf of the Ouattara government to Pascale Fressoz, President of the International Alliance for the Millennium Goals (AIODM, now AIODD) and co-founder and co-chair of the Coalition of NGOs for the MDGs, from 2010 to 2015. A great mark of recognition for all the work carried out in different countries by AIODM, particularly in Côte d'Ivoire under the leadership of Désirée Djomand, President of AIODM Côte d'Ivoire and Secretary General of AIODM, which enabled the organization of major conferences, the creation of numerous AIODM Millennium Villages and field projects with and for vulnerable populations.

AIODD and En-Jeu are currently working on enhanced action to facilitate the implementation of the SDGs, particularly within Local Authorities, through a communication campaign and the creation of simple and pragmatic software. The software that we are developing together will make it possible to make a diagnosis through the prism of the SDGs, then to define a strategy by integrating the 17 SDGs, a reporting system with indicators, and a multi-year action plan.

Convinced that only sincere attention to others and to the world can guarantee real common improvement, MAIF places it at the heart of its commitments within the framework of this partnership with the International Alliance for Sustainable Development Goals.

The partnership with the Compagnie de l'Aparté (creation of a play by 17/18 year olds on the SDGs) emphasizes the importance of young people's investment in communication and awareness-raising on the SDGs.

The partnership with AKAL aims to ensure that economic actors integrate social and environmental aspects upstream of production and distribution, in the Tafilalet region, and more generally in Morocco.
