Launch of an African School of the SDGs, by Challenges and AI-ODD Togo

Creation of an African School of SDGs, at the INFA of Tové, Kpalimé, with training workshops on the 4 main strategic axes, a festival of actions on the SDGs, cultural activities and games on the SDGs, etc. in partnership with the Ministries (Development, Environment) and the United Nations System (UNS), etc., from July 27–31, 2020.
SDG Hackathon Competition, Cities and Circular Economy, Tunisia

Two training courses were organized as part of a #Hackathon #ODD by #Polytech_IntlGroup and AIODD Tunisia, integrating several themes: ODD, Data Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc. The last two sessions were postponed to September 4 & 5, 2021, due to Covid, June 26 & 27.

OSVSWA, Orissa State Voluntary Social Workers Association, AI-ODD India and Avoidable Death Network have appealed for donations to address the pandemic-related hunger. The donations have provided over a thousand meals. Thank you, Odisha, 2nd May 2021.

AI-ODD France's participation in the "Tour de France of the SDGs in Isère" organized by Comité 21

The "Tour de France des SDGs en Isère" was organized by the Committee 21, with the support of the City, the Métropole de Grenoble and their economic and institutional partners, as part of the biennial of cities in transition, led by the City of Grenoble. Interventions by AIODD with the city of Evian, on April 1 and 2, 2021.
As part of the “Steering the SDGs” Workshop, Pascale Fressoz, President of AIODD International & France, presented AIODD’s new tool, “Nine Steps” for successfully steering the SDGs within Communities and Businesses. This planning method is strategic and participatory, thus making it possible to involve citizens and/or employees. The workshop was led by Joséphine Crouzet, in charge of evaluating public policies in the city of Grenoble.
For its part, the city of Evian, Josiane Lei, Mayor, and Maud Perrot, Chief of Staff to the Mayor, spoke on the consideration of the SDGs in their general policy, since 2020. The approach is global, with an integration of the SDGs at all levels (vision, strategy, structure, actions - activities, communication and also at the level of the relationship with stakeholders). Sandrine Sorrentini, Deputy Director of Agence France Locale also spoke on the integration of the SDGs within the new regional bank. Projects are financed according to their capacity to integrate the SDGs.
Eric Piolle, Mayor of Grenoble and many personalities opened and closed this conference, including Christophe Ferrari, President of Grenoble Métropole, Loïc Roche, Director of Grenoble Ecole de Management, and of course Bétina Laville, President of Committee 21. The various workshops, whether "SDGs and Indicators" led by Hélène Clot, or "SDGs and Businesses" led by the Director of the Global Compact in Isère, were also rich in lessons.
The players in the Grenoble ecosystem have therefore responded to the call of the SDGs, in particular Tenerdis, Auvergne Rhône Alpes enterprises (EEN Network), the CCI, specialists in sustainable development and cooperation (Resaccop, AIODD, etc.), and other experts.
AI-ODD participation in the presentation of the Citizen’s Guide to dealing with threats, in Niger

Conference on Equality in Paris with an opening message from the UN Secretary General

On March 19, 2021, WOMENVAI and AI-ODD co-organized an international conference on the theme of Gender Equality, in Paris, at Nokia headquarters, combining face-to-face and video-conference, with many personalities from 5 continents. Opening message from UN SG Antonio Guterres, March 19, 2021.
Twenty-five years after the great historic conference in Beijing in 1995, France, Mexico and UN WOMEN are launching the Generality Equality operation. Many stakeholders are committed… Thierry Boisnon, CEO of Nokia France, hosted the international conference, from AIODD and Womenvai, with a very touching message on inequalities, the presentation of the foundations of its diversity policy and its StrongHer network (50 actions for Equality). Among the highlights…
The conference was supported by many UN actors: Antonio Gutteres, UN Secretary General, Anita Bathia, Deputy Director of UN Women in New York, Lydia Grigoreva, Head of the NGO Service and Head of the Equality Focal Point at the UN in Geneva, as well as UNESCO as an official partner of this event.
Our speakers, based in several countries: France, Switzerland, United States, Tunisia, India, Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, Nigeria, Ghana… and especially on the five continents, were able to present their actions and pragmatic solutions for Equality as part of their brilliant interventions. They also discussed major issues and risks. Among the actions mentioned: the international network of Gender Champions at the UN, the diversity tool kit at Sciences Po Paris, leadership training, workshops, certifications, prizes, etc. All these initiatives helped to understand how to act in a local or international environment, and the strength of highly influential women's networks.
Our 20 partners were also thanked for their valuable support, for sharing good practices in terms of Gender Equality but also and above all for their support within the framework of our Action Plan, called " Call for Action 2021-2025 " with very innovative and relevant initiatives. The signing of this declaration with all the partners closed the conference.

Creation of a new antenna in the Middle East, AI-ODD Oman

AI-ODD created its 20th branch in Oman, Muscat, with Mohamed ALI SAID ALBADADI. He is a parliamentarian in Oman and also a local elected official. On the professional level, he is the Director of a hospital. 5 years ago, he created a project for reforestation and new economic activities (beekeeping) thanks to a rediscovered biodiversity, on July 23.
