SDG Hackathon Competition, Cities and Circular Economy, Tunisia

Organization of an ODD Hackathon by Hager Chérif and the entire AI-ODD Tunisia team, Polytech International and our partners, coaches, jury members and 80 participants. The goal was to find solutions to the pollution problem linked to the high use of plastic. Creation of 20 teams with the ISETs, having worked over two weekends, knowing that they received training from AI-ODD and its partners beforehand. Several actions to integrate the 2030 Agenda into the presidential campaign

Brief exchanges with Olivier Véran, former Minister of Health and current government spokesperson, during the presidential campaign in France. AI-ODD has also organized or supported several actions for a better integration of the SDGs: signing of the Tribune #ODD by MP Florence Provendier with 100 other signatories; letter addressed to President Emmanuel Macron to further integrate the 2030 Agenda into speeches and policies; co-evaluation of candidates' programs, by creating SDG radars with 4 D & the 1h17 collective with notably Vaia Tuuhia , Albane Mermillod and Romuald Mbayo; interviews with 4 candidates on the SDGs, V. Précresse, M. Le Pen, E. Macron and JL Mélenchon (but no precise answer!!) with journalist Khaled Saad Zaghloul .
AIODD's first steps in Central Africa

Romuald Mbayo, head of AI-ODD Central Africa was received by the city of Bangui for a partnership on the SDGs. Discussions also with stakeholders from three villages 40 km from Bangui on the very difficult living conditions, the problem of childbirth, food storage (food placed on the ground can cause diseases... hepatitis B, typhoid fever...), the lack of resources, etc. The aim is to create: 4 classrooms, an agro-pastoral cooperative, a training center for entrepreneurship, markets and a borehole, on April 12, 2022.
Working session with the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion

Organization of a session to follow up on the symposium organized at the National Assembly on December 8, co-organized by AI-ODD, the ODD Study Group and the Collectif Elus & ODD, within the framework of which, Jacqueline Gourault, Minister of Territorial Cohesion, committed to sending a letter to all the mayors of France. Creation of 4 new AI-ODD antennas

AI-ODD is pleased to announce the creation of 4 new antennas in Africa with Romuald Mbayo in Central Africa, Soumah Kiadatou in Guinea-Conakry, Caroline WanbuI in Kenya and Umar Saled Anka in Nigeria (met at the COP in Glasgow). Many projects are in the pipeline, including raising awareness of the SDGs, AI-ODD Millennium Villages, using the SDG radar (4D tool) to measure the impact of the policies of presidential candidates or organizing symposiums with certain parliaments. Pascale Fressoz signed the Tribune on behalf of AI-ODD and participated in the hearing organized at the National Assembly by Florence Provendier. The synthesis of the hearings and recommendations were presented in a report on the SDGs and submitted to the Prime Minister and the Minister of Ecological Transition, Barbara Pompili, on February 22.
This report analyzes the causes and challenges in the implementation of the SDGs and includes several proposals to integrate the SDGs at the institutional level, as well as at the level of non-state actors. Many actions of AI-ODD and French actors were mentioned in this very strategic report.
French Prime Minister Jean Castex had tasked the MP with this SDG mission in September 2021, in order to "propose elements for structuring the SDG movement, mobilizing stakeholders and building coalitions on France's strategic issues". The report's agenda includes a brief history and reminder of the COP26 objectives, cross-views and sharing of experiences, and an interactive session with the public to answer questions and discuss prospects for the future.
