who are we?

The International Alliance for Sustainable Development Goals (AI-ODD) works to take social and environmental issues into account.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represent a universal plan of action adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, aimed at eradicating poverty, fighting inequality and injustice, and tackling environmental problems such as climate change.

Each goal includes specific targets to be achieved by 2030, aimed at encouraging coordinated and comprehensive action in all regions of the world, including in Europe. The goals encourage countries to work in a spirit of global partnership to improve the lives of all, leaving no one behind.

The International Sustainable Development Goals Alliance is a network of volunteers in 25 countries, working to better address these goals by informing and educating politicians and citizens. We engage with leaders and provide tools for sustainability.

Dear friends,

I hope this new year has started for you with inspiration and positive momentum.

In a world beset by profound tensions, multilateralism, dialogue between peoples, and collective action are more essential than ever, yet they are severely weakened. It is becoming urgent to preserve spaces where awareness, peace, and cooperation can still flourish.

Finding solutions, with and for our youth, is essential.

On April 2nd, the International Day of Conscience (IDC26) will be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, with the support of the United Nations Directorate-General, the City of Geneva and French and international partners.

The Tempus hall (600 seats) will host activists, decision-makers and more than 250 young people, who have been involved for several months in our Leadership, Humanism and Peace program, to bring concrete proposals to bear on the violence and divisions of the world.

This event is supported by AI-ODD, an organization with consultative status with the United Nations ECOSOC, and by the LoveForce Foundation, founded by Sofia Stril-Rever, biographer of the Dalai Lama.

Today, we need you.

With two months to go before the event, the necessary funding has not yet been secured. However, SDG 16 – Peace, justice and strong institutions – relies on collective mobilization: peace is everyone's business, at all levels.

Your support will make the following possible:

  • To ensure that this International Day is held at the Palais des Nations under good conditions (technical, translation, logistics).

  • To support young people committed to this global call for peace

  • And to transform a shared intention into a real impact.

By supporting AI-ODD and the LoveForce Foundation, you become actors in a dynamic of peace, multilateralism and sustainable development.

Support our action

Donations to the LoveForce Foundation are eligible for a 66% tax deduction.

"In a world marked by divisions, every gesture counts. Your contribution is an act of conscience and a sign of hope. Thank you for your kind attention, thank you for your commitment to our cause, and thank you for helping to foster peace. May the power of Awareness, Peace, and Love be with us all."

Pascale Fressoz

Let us rise up as the voice of Conscience for the victims of injustice, where humanity betrays its own conscience. Let us be the voice of Love for peoples broken by hatred, where humanity turns away from its heart. Let us be the voice of Peace for the oppressed whom war silences, where humanity denies what makes it human.

Together with the youth of the world, let us open new paths of awareness, courage and love, to build more just and happier societies.

Together, let's reinvent peace. Together, let's transform planet Earth into planet Love.

“acting for a sustainable world” by Pascale Fressoz

This book presents all the challenges we face, showing the importance of the 17 SDGs, also called Agenda 2030, to bring about transformations.

It is both a call to action and a guide to sustainability.

All stakeholders, communities and businesses are encouraged to act by developing their own roadmap based on the "2030 Agenda". In order to support change, the "Nine Steps to Success" method (H. Rohm BSC Institute) is presented by Pascale FRESSOZ, and the two co-authors, Corentin BITEAU and Jean-Claude KOYA. Acting as Citizens, while restoring meaning, is also at the heart of this work aimed at encouraging action through desire and creativity, and not only through fear and constraints.

Thanks to Editions Jouvence and to all the experts who contributed to this work, in particular Dominique BOURG, Patrick VIVERET, Maria-Luisa SILVA, Ambassador François RIVASSEAU, Pierre-Alain RAPHAN and around fifty actors committed to the SDGs.

The feedback from our readers will be very valuable. Please feel free to share your comments and suggestions to enrich the field of possibilities and actions to be taken. Thank you!

Ai-odd and the National Assembly

Message from the former Minister for Ecological Transition, Barbara Pompili, during our Colloquium organized at the Hôtel de Lassay, in 2021, on the theme "Agenda 2030 at the heart of the Territories. Elected officials facing a critical decade".

Our other memorable mentions

How can we, at our own level, take action for a sustainable world? - Corentin Biteau

Launch of the new ODD Mapping by AI-ODD and Editions Jouvence.

Today we are all aware of the problems in the world: droughts, poverty, hunger, climate...

But while we all agree on the observation, we often have fewer answers to the following question: why is it difficult to act on these issues? How can we get started? And what actions should we take?

This series of articles written by Corentin BITEAU, Vice-President of AI-ODD France and co-author of Acting for a Sustainable World, provides some answers.

In order to provide an overview of the specificities of the SDGs, a mapping will facilitate the understanding of the SDGs. It will also make it possible to imagine the interactions and impacts that one objective can have on the other objectives.

This mapping also aims to encourage stakeholders to think together about the actions already undertaken... and the future actions to be undertaken. The SDG Mapping (copyright) is part of the book "Acting for a sustainable world. Succeeding in the transition using the 17 Sustainable Development Goals", by Pascale Fressoz, published by Jouvence, co-written with Corentin Biteau and Jean-Claude Koya. This work is the result of a fruitful collaboration between a Publisher and an NGO.

Your SDG Mapping can be given to you during our conferences, on the theme of “Drawing the Future”, or can be sent to you by post.

For any requests, please send an email to 2030@aiodd.org .

5 new tools

AI-ODD develops 5 NEW TOOLS to support Communities, Businesses and Citizens.

The approach we are developing aims to give a dimension, not only operational, but strategic to the SDGs.

Nine Steps to Success

The "Nine Steps to Success" Method was first presented during our webinar on September 25, 2021, on the theme "Leadership & SDGs, Communities and Businesses." Inspired by the BSC Institute (Nine Steps to Success 2018–2022) and developed by Howard Rohm, the methodology was adapted by Pascale Fressoz to integrate expertise in strategic planning and sustainability. The Sustainable BSC for Cities and Businesses is presented in our "Our Tools to Support You" section.

The full set of AI-ODD tools are available upon request (2030@aiodd.org).

Act at the Citizen level

You will also find a presentation “Acting at the Citizen Level” with examples of actions having a strong impact, in connection with the SDGs.

SDG mapping, AI-SDG and Jouvence Publishing

Our SDG maps are designed for both local authorities and businesses, with two different versions available. They allow for an assessment of the current situation for each SDG and the identification of new actions. Some initiatives can have a positive impact on multiple SDGs.

CDDG tools

The tools of the CDGG, Committee 21, 4 D, labels, etc. and more generally the tools of all the actors involved in the SDGs, are very valuable. You will find them, in part, in the section "Tools and Methods of other actors", knowing that this work was carried out within the "Collectif Élus & SDGs" that we piloted from 2020 to 2022.
